Elected members interface with the Faculty Senate, OCTSA and several other agencies of the campus community to more fully serve the needs of employees.
PSA Committees have specific outreach initiatives that align with the overall mission of the PSA.
The Professional Development Committee hosts 1-2 Lunch and Learns per academic year on the topic of Professional Development. These events provide an opportunity to enhance professional development skills in today’s workplace.
The Service and Outreach Committee provides opportunities for professional staff members to participate in service projects that benefit the community as well as opportunities for outreach to various groups on and off campus. Additionally, the committee actively supports Brewer-Porch Children’s Center through donations and giving of time at the center.
The Staff Life and Technology Committees also offer activities to the professional staff of The University of Alabama.
